UL 1198 600V 150°C PTFE High-Temperature Wire
UL 1198 PTFE wire is a 600 V single-core solution for internal equipment wiring where a conventional wire may not provide enough temperature or insulation margin. This construction is intended for applications with a specified conductor temperature up to 150°C, together with defined electrical, installation and documentation requirements.
TEBAOFLEX reviews conductor size, strand construction, PTFE build, color, marking and delivery length before quotation. As a result, the wire can be aligned with the actual enclosure space, terminal design and high-temperature routing conditions instead of being selected by voltage alone.
What Problem Does UL 1198 PTFE Wire Help Solve?
600 V wiring in heat-exposed equipment
Industrial controllers, heating equipment and electrical assemblies can require 600 V internal wire in areas that experience sustained heat. UL 1198 provides a clear 150°C selection point for projects whose maximum conductor temperature remains within that class.
Material exposure and insulation stability
PTFE is commonly selected where the wiring design must consider chemicals, oil, moisture and temperature cycling. However, the actual medium, concentration, dwell time and installation conditions must be reviewed for each application.
Space, bending and termination constraints
Customers can specify AWG size, required stranding, color and cut length. Therefore, the construction can be matched to the routing path and termination process instead of relying on a one-size-fits-all cable selection.
Construction
The proposed construction uses a silver-plated copper conductor with extruded PTFE insulation. Final conductor strand count and insulation dimensions are confirmed against the selected AWG, electrical load and customer documentation requirement.

Typical Applications
UL 1198 600 V 150°C PTFE wire can be reviewed for industrial control equipment, heating appliances, instruments, electrical cabinets and protected internal wiring near controlled heat sources. It is not presented as a universal outdoor, submerged or continuous-motion cable; those conditions require a separate construction review.
UL 1198 or UL 1199?
Select UL 1198 when the specified conductor temperature is up to 150°C. If the design requires a 200°C temperature class, review UL 1199 600V 200°C PTFE high-temperature wire. For lower-voltage PTFE wire selection, compare UL 1164 300V 150°C PTFE wire and UL 1180 300V 200°C PTFE wire.
