HVR / HVR-D MV Extra Heavy Duty Reeling Rubber Cable is a medium-voltage rubber round cable engineered for motorized cable reels under extreme operational demands. With rated voltages from 3.6/6 kV up to 12/20 kV, this cable delivers reliable power supply to container cranes, mining equipment, stackers and reclaimers, and ship unloaders at travel speeds up to 180 m/min.

Construction

  • Conductor: Finely stranded tin-plated electrolytic copper, exceeding EN/IEC 60228 Category 5
  • Core insulation: EPR compound (high-voltage quality) in a sandwich process with inner semi-conductive stress control layer and outer semi-conductive insulation shield layer (easy strip)
  • Anti-twist braid: Embedded braid of synthetic yarns with very high tensile load between inner and outer sheath
  • Inner sheath: Extruded sheath of GM1b synthetic rubber compound filling the interstices
  • Outer sheath: Chlorinated heavy-duty rubber compound 5GM5, colour red
  • Conductor coding: Black insulation with white numbers
  • Stranding: Conductors in layers stranded, earth conductor divided into three parts in the interstices (without optic fibres) or halved in the interstices (with optic fibres)
  • HVR-D version: Integrated optical fibre elements (12 or 24 fibres in loose tubes) for reliable data transmission
