(N)TSCGEW11Y 6/10 kV Shore Power Reeling Cable combines medium-voltage power transmission, screened pilot cores and an integrated optical fibre element in one heavy-duty reeling construction. It is specified for high-voltage shore connection systems that connect vessels to the grid at harbour berths.
Shore Power Applications
This cable is suitable for shore connection installations serving container vessels, cruise vessels and other ship types at berth. It supports single-operator cable cranes and mobile carrier systems where controlled reeling, mechanical strength and reliable communications are required.
Construction and Reliability
- Fine-stranded tinned-copper Class 5 main conductors use triple-extruded EPR insulation with inner and outer semi-conductive layers.
- Screened pilot cores are colour-identified in white with black numerals 1–8.
- The integrated fibre-optic element contains 12 G62.5/125 µm OM1 fibres.
- A thermoplastic inner sheath and black TPU outer sheath provide high tensile, abrasion and tear resistance.
