Electrical TEC downhole monitoring cable is a tubing encased cable for permanently installed pressure and temperature sensing tools. A seven-strand tinned copper core is insulated with ETFE and centralized with an expanded polyolefin filler inside 316L stainless steel or Alloy 825 tubing. Optional polymer encapsulation adds mechanical and chemical protection selected for well conditions.
Key Features
- 18 AWG seven-strand tinned copper conductor for power and telemetry transmission.
- ETFE insulation with 0.030 in stated wall thickness and expanded polyolefin filler.
- 316L stainless steel or Alloy 825 tubing options at 0.250 in outer diameter.
- Source data states splice-free lengths greater than 30,000 ft and pressure testing before shipment.
- Optional encapsulation materials allow the construction to be matched to abrasion, brines, hydrocarbons, and temperature requirements.
Applications
Used with permanently installed electronic pressure and temperature sensing tools that connect in-well gauges to surface data acquisition systems for telemetry and power.
