R-(N)TSCGEWÖU FO 3.6/6–20/35 kV Fibre-Optic MV Reeling Cable

Medium-voltage power and fibre-optic reeling cable family for mobile mining and material-handling equipment. Two documented builds are offered: a thermoset/polyamide construction through 12/20 kV and a PCP/polyester construction through 20/35 kV. Fibre count, core schedule and reel duty are confirmed per project.

R-(N)TSCGEWÖU + FO combines medium-voltage power and fibre-optic communication in a reeling cable. The two supplied TEBAOFLEX datasheets describe different material constructions: a red thermoset/polyamide version from 3.6/6 to 12/20 kV and a red PCP/polyester version with options up to 20/35 kV. Their operating and dimension data must not be mixed.

Applications and version selection

Use this family where mobile excavators, dumpers, crushers or other material-handling machines need power and an integrated optical data path on monospiral or cylindrical reels. Select by voltage, core schedule, optical fibre type, reel geometry, movement and environmental exposure—not by the FO suffix alone. Compare related mining cable applications and confirm the installation with TEBAOFLEX.

This table reproduces the 31 size rows in the corresponding datasheet. Each row combines three phase cores, two earth positions and an FO module. The source lists +90 °C conductor operation, +250 °C short-circuit temperature, -40 °C fixed and -25 °C mobile ambient minimums, and a 6 × OD fixed bend radius.

PCP / polyester version: 3.6/6–20/35 kV

Representative 3 × 25 mm² rows are shown below to compare voltage-related diameter changes; the linked PDF contains the complete size and electrical tables. This version lists +90 °C conductor operation, -40 to +90 °C fixed installation and -35 to +90 °C flexible operation. S-type directional changes are specified at 20 × OD; do not apply the thermoset bend figures to this build.

The datasheets reference DIN VDE 0250-813, IEC 60228, IEC 60332-1-2 and other test methods. Confirm the required evidence for the specific construction and order; a standard reference is not a certification claim for all variants.

Frequently asked questions

Does every FO version reach 20/35 kV?

No. The thermoset/polyamide datasheet ends at 12/20 kV. The PCP/polyester datasheet lists options through 20/35 kV.

Can one bend radius be used for both versions?

No. Their documented operating limits differ. Design the actual reel route against the selected version’s datasheet.
