Heavy-Duty PUR Reeling Cable is a 0.6/1 kV flexible round cable designed for motorized cable reels in demanding industrial motion systems. TEBAOFLEX combines a wear-resistant polyurethane sheath, a central textile supporting element, and flexible copper conductors to help customers manage high tensile load, repeated winding, and torsional stress.
Heavy-Duty PUR Reeling Cable for Motorized Reels
This cable family supports power, control, and data configurations for horizontal or vertical reeling systems. In addition, its compact layered construction helps equipment builders use available reel space efficiently. The reinforced design is suitable for continuous operation where conventional flexible cables may wear prematurely.
Typical Applications
- Motorized cable reels for transfer cars and automated handling equipment
- Hoists, lifting equipment, and bulk-material handling machinery
- Industrial machinery that requires repeated winding, unwinding, or acceleration
- Custom power, control, and data cable combinations for mobile equipment
Construction and Materials
Fine-stranded bare electrolytic copper conductors provide the required flexibility. A halogen-free, polyester-based core insulation surrounds the conductors, while the core assembly is laid in short-pitch layers around a centrally embedded textile support element. Furthermore, a polyurethane inner sheath and a wear-resistant black polyurethane outer sheath provide mechanical protection for demanding reel duty.
| Component | Confirmed construction |
|---|---|
| Conductor | Bare electrolytic copper, flexible Class 5 |
| Core insulation | Halogen-free polyester-based compound |
| Support element | Centrally embedded textile element |
| Inner sheath | Polyurethane compound |
| Outer sheath | Wear-resistant polyurethane, black |
Electrical and Environmental Performance
The Heavy-Duty PUR Reeling Cable is rated at 0.6/1 kV. It operates in flexing service from −40°C to +80°C, while the maximum conductor temperature is 90°C. The cable is designed for resistance to oil, ozone, UV exposure, and humidity. It also uses low-flammability materials in line with IEC 60332-1 requirements.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Rated voltage Uo/U | 0.6/1 kV |
| Maximum conductor temperature | 90°C |
| Flexing temperature range | −40°C to +80°C |
| Short-circuit conductor temperature | 200°C |
| Flame performance | Low flammability, IEC 60332-1 |
Reeling and Installation Guidance
For motorized reeling duty, the recommended minimum bending radius is 6 × cable outer diameter on the reel and 7.5 × outer diameter over rollers. Where an S-type change of direction is used, allow at least 20 × outer diameter between directional changes. Therefore, the final reel geometry, travel speed, acceleration, cable length, and tensile load should be checked together during system design.
| Mechanical parameter | Confirmed value |
|---|---|
| Travel speed | Up to 180 m/min in horizontal operation |
| Minimum bending radius on reel | 6 × cable outer diameter |
| Minimum bending radius over rollers | 7.5 × cable outer diameter |
| Minimum S-type directional distance | 20 × cable outer diameter |
Configuration and Selection Support
Available constructions include multi-core control cables, power cables, and combined power-control-data cables.
