(N)GRDGCGOEU Screened Energy Chain Cable

(N)GRDGCGOEU screened energy chain cable for cranes and material handling. 0.6/1 kV, flexible copper conductors, tinned copper braid screen and abrasion-resistant sheath.

(N)GRDGCGOEU Screened Energy Chain Cable is a 0.6/1 kV flexible cable for demanding energy-chain installations. It combines finely stranded copper conductors, an overall tinned-copper braid screen and a robust black outer sheath for motion-intensive industrial equipment.

For container cranes, stacking cranes, indoor cranes and material-handling systems, the screened construction helps support stable operation where long travel distances, high movement speeds and abrasion exposure are expected. The cable is intended for cable-chain use; final selection should consider the chain design, travel length, bending radius, speed and installation conditions.

Key Construction Features

  • Conductor: bare electrolytic copper, Class 5 fine-stranded; the earth conductor is extra-fine stranded.
  • Insulation: high-grade EPR-based compound; ETFE insulation is available for specified control-cable constructions.
  • Screen: tinned copper wire braid with more than 80% coverage and transfer impedance below 100 mΩ/m at up to 30 MHz.
  • Inner sheath: black EPR-based compound.
  • Outer sheath: black EVA-based compound selected for abrasion and ageing resistance.

Selection and Installation Notes

Do not use this cable in torsional applications. Minimum bending radius follows the applicable installation guidance for the selected cable size. For long chains, lower operating speeds may improve service life.
